Ancient yogis isolated themselves so that they could concentrate all their energies on their yoga practice. At East Eagle Yoga, our lineage stems from the advent of the "householder yogi." Householder yogis are people with responsibilities to family and friends, work and home, and a devotion to yoga. We are householder yogis. Instead of isolating ourselves so that our concentration is maintained, we thrive through the cultivation of a community of like-minded friends.
At East Eagle Yoga we are devoted to supporting and continuing to grow the beautiful community that has been created over the last ten years. In doing so we:
*Hold seasonal community get-togethers and book club meetings that are free of charge
*Offer regualar donation-based Community Classes
*Provide access to a community library of yoga related books and materials for students
*Support the fundraising interests of our students
*Use and refer local, small business vendors and services
*Source retail items that are handmade, locally made, and responsibly made
