200 hour Teacher Training
& Self Transformation Program
We will be offering the 9th East Eagle Yoga 200 hr Teacher Training & Self Transformation Program starting on March 3, 2017. We are approved by The Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga School. Yoga Alliance® registers both individual yoga teachers and yoga teacher training programs who have complied with educational standards established by the organization.
If you are interested in Teacher Training, please email Sara at email@example.com.
It has been our experience when training teachers in the past that many students who attend teacher training do not necessarily intend to teach yoga when the program is complete. These are students looking to deepen their understanding and practice of yoga in a significant way. There is no requirement regarding your past experience or expertise in yoga, just a willingness to learn and a sincere interest in personal growth. The time spent in teacher training is a profound experience of self-exploration and sincere study.
As a teacher trainee, some of the things you will learn about are:
- Anatomy and physiology of yoga postures
- Subtle body anatomy (chakras, nadis, etc.)
- Hatha yoga techniques
- Teaching methodology
- Yoga philosophy and yogic texts
- Yoga lifestyle and diet
- Yoga ethics
- The business of yoga
$2250 - total due February 17th, 2017 (a discount of $150) or
Pay in 3 installments: $1000 due February 17th, $700 due April 1st, and $700 due May 1st for a total of $2,400.
We do not want payment to be a barrier to participating in this program. If another payment option would be helpful to you, please let us know. We are willing to make individual arrangements.
Both options include unlimited yoga for the duration of the training program (a $900 value) and required books (a $200 value).
You will be required to attend yoga class at least once per week, read assigned books, complete required assignments, meet with instructors periodically to discuss progress, and practice teaching yoga outside of our formal group meetings.

Here's what some recent graduates had to say about their experience:
"Yoga Teacher Training at EEY exceeded all my expectations. I went into training hoping to find balance between work and life as a mother and person. Secondarily I hoped to learn more skills to teach Yoga possibly in future. I knew about the “8 Fold Path” from taking classes. However, what Sara and Coleen taught me about each of the “rungs” on the ladder of Yoga took my objectives of balance far beyond work and life balance. My knowledge helped me grow as a human being who can now offer more to my children husband, colleagues and those I help at work. This is far beyond the physical postures or asanas. The skills I learned about teaching help me teach a similar form of exercise and give back more to my class in terms of energy, positivism and strength. I feel as a human being, I now realize that if I know “ I am enough “and accept myself for who I am I can give back 1000% more to my family and work. More importantly I can give back more to the community and world we live in. I feel as though Yoga Teacher Training should be a life requirement we should all take as it taught me to be happy, compassionate, virtuous to others again through self-reflections. I can now sit back and observe and act more calmly in stressful situations versus react. I have more patience for myself which translates to others."
"Before I took EEY TT I was just scratching the surface at what I thought Yoga was and is. I found I learned far more beyond my expectations and have a better understanding of the union of my mind body and spirit and those around me. I feel this set me up for a better balance of all aspects of life as well as a lifetime of yearning to learn more and more about the Practice of Yoga.
I cannot say enough about Coleen and Sara in their skills, commitment to myself and my classmates and the program. They were far beyond encouraging us along the way in challenges we faced and relieving any doubts. They are great teachers not only in class but also in all the elements of the 8 Fold Path. They helped me reflect and transform my teaching and life skills. Both were readily available to answer emails, questions, comments. They generated insightful group discussions each weekend we trained. I left inspired and open to many new possibilities in my life. I feel like they helped me find my path back to who I am as a person and life’s purpose.
I can’t say enough about Sara, Coleen, and EEY Teacher Training and all they have done for me!"
"East Eagle Yoga teacher training was so much more than I imagined it would be. I began this journey looking to deepen my personal practice with the outcome of becoming a registered yoga teacher, but I gained so much more than that. The self-study that came throughout the process helped me gain a better understanding of who I am and how I want to live life. The knowledge I gained has already helped me through difficult situations and I know I will rely on it as I move through life. I can say with certainty that I wouldn’t have had the same experience without the guidance of Sara and Coleen. Their extensive knowledge and sincere commitment to yoga created a wonderful atmosphere to learn, their constant encouragement fostered confidence, and their genuine kindness made East Eagle a place I didn’t want to leave. Sara and Coleen welcomed all of us into the East Eagle family, a place that embodies kindness, acceptance, and many times laughter. I am so thankful to have gone through this process guided by these two amazing women. I can guarantee it will be an incredibly positive, life-changing experience. "
"Signing up for East Eagle Yoga's teacher training program was the best decision I have ever made. At the time, all I was looking for was change. I had no idea how transformative this program would actually be. Not only did it prepare me for teaching, but it also provided me with the tools to live a happier and more fulfilling life. Sara and Coleen made this experience insightful and empowering. I cannot thank them enough for their guidance and support. My graduating class became close friends and the training weekends easily became the highlight of my month. One of the things I will miss most is our check-ins where we would share the highs and lows of our month and how yoga helped us along the way. East Eagle Yoga is an amazing community that I am so proud to be a part of. Get ready for an incredible journey! "
